Welcome to the Scratch Wiki! We hope you will contribute much and well. You probably want to read the help pages before doing anything. If you have any questions, you can ask anyone on the Scratch Wiki. We will appreciate it if you make a lot of edits to the wiki, but make sure the edits are good quality edits. Again, welcome and have fun! :) St19_Galla Talk • Contribs 13:12, 12 August 2016 (UTC)
I moved your page
I moved your page to User:Ziggy741/Click here! because pages that you want to create for testing purposes should be in your userspace (a subpage of your userpage). Here's some information about userspace. Also, you might want to check out S:SANDBOX. No worries though, because everyone makes mistakes! :)

Lol
I thought "Stratus" was a misspelling. Totally forgot that stratus was a type of cloud.

Quick Question
What browser do you use? It seems very pixelated, based on the screenshots I've seen.

- Firefox. I also have Chrome, so I could use that for newer pictures. Chrome has higher quality.

Protip
{{DISPLAYTITLE}}
didn't let you use a <div>
tag because it's a block tag (i.e. it changes the spacing, in the case of div by putting the content on a new line). However, if you use <span>
instead (an inline tag that doesn't affect spacing), it will work. See below for the code for what you were trying to accomplish:
{{DISPLAYTITLE:User:<span style="color: green">Ziggy741</span>/Sandbox}}

Color and Colour
Just to clarify, the Scratch Wiki isn't specifically written in American English, so it is acceptable to use European spellings in articles. However, it is important that the spellings be consistent within an article.

- I wanted to let you know why I reverted an edit you did.
Ziggy741 (talk | contribs) 02:34, 7 December 2016 (UTC)- Everyone is responsible for watching over the edits of others on the Wiki, meaning that any user is in essence a moderator. The Wiki isn't like the forums in that way, so it is important to notify users whenever they are affected. Talk page messages aren't meant to be punitive, embarrassing (it's way harder to spell that word than it should be), etc. They're just telling us how to improve. However, in the case of simple reverts that don't reflect a persistent problem, generally just explaining why in the edit summary or on the article's/file's talk page is sufficient.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 02:41, 7 December 2016 (UTC)- So for the edits I reverted would I need to tell the user on their talk page and would you need to tell someone if you reverted a file that they uploaded a new version of?
Ziggy741 (talk | contribs) 02:43, 7 December 2016 (UTC)- I'm not 100% sure of what you were saying due to awkward syntax, but from what I am gathering, the answer to your question is that you don't generally need to tell a user if you reverted their edit unless they're a new user or you had to revert a bunch of things for the same reason and need to tell the user not to make those edits anymore. The same rule applies to reverting file uploads.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 03:16, 7 December 2016 (UTC)- Okay thank you and would you need to tell someone if they joined at December 1st?
Ziggy741 (talk | contribs) 16:56, 7 December 2016 (UTC)- If the user doesn't seem to be familar with the Wiki yet, then you should notify them. I would say joining December 1st would count. However, if you revert multiple things for the same reason, you don't need to leave a message for every single one.

- If it's something small and only specific to that page or file for a user who is reasonably experienced, then all you need to do is give a quick explanation in the edit summary. If it is something significant or requires discussion but is specific to one page/file, then it is best to use the appropriate talk page. You only need to notify the user if there is behavior that needs to be addressed (in the case of new users pretty much all reverts fit this category, as their "behavior" is about still learning the Wiki structure) or you otherwise think it is important that the user know about your revert.

"No offense"
That phrase has always bothered me. People seem to use it as kind of "get-out-of-jail-free card" for what they say, as if it that means it's ok to say things that offend other people. The Scratch Community Guidelines tell us to be respectful, and that means that we should write in a way that doesn't offend other people, and saying "no offense" doesn't actually change how offensive or not your message is.
Sorry I made that so long, that phrase just really bothers me.

Purpose for Reveting Brush Size Image?
Just curious, what was your intended purpose in reverting the brush size image https://wiki.scratch.mit.edu/wiki/File:BrushSize.png ? The one you reverted to it just has more blank space and the file size is nearly 3X as large.

When You Revert Images
If someone uploads a new version of an image, do not just go and revert it because you like the previous one better. That person spent some time getting that new image because he/she thought it was better. If you do not like the image, you should start a discussion on the image's talk page so other people can provide their own input. But don't just revert it like that without saying anything, and also when you do revert something, make sure to explain why so we can see why in the recent changes.

Scratch Wiki:What's the difference between includeonly and onlyinclude? - why I undid your edits
I used one equals sign (i.e. =Template:Example=) so that it would look like an actual page. The omission of a second equals (i.e. not ==Template:Example==) is deliberate. I believe it should stay that way so that editors can see the content like it actually is in real editing.

Why did you revert File:Backdrops Library.png?
As far as I can tell, there is no visible difference between the versions - the one I uploaded was simply about a quarter of the filesize. What was the difference you spotted? Why did you revert it?
kenny2scratch Talk Contribs Directory 06:20, 12 March 2018 (UTC)
- If you look closely, the hearts1 backdrop have a small color difference in the two versions.
Ziggy741 (talk | contribs) 23:50, 12 March 2018 (UTC)- ...that's a small enough change that it's okay to keep it compressed - considering the original filesize, the size reduction is worth the color change. I'll revert it back but if you can compress it anywhere near as much while keeping the color then feel free to upload a new version.

Double Redirects
