- I don't find it 100% fair that you are running in the election. Yes, you have as much of a right as everyone else, but nobody nominated you on the original discussion. Also, use "Add topic" under the pencil menu to post as it keeps everything neat and adds the message at the bottom, where it's supposed to go.

Welcome to the Scratch Wiki!
Welcome to the Scratch Wiki Turkey3/Archive 1 and all those new users who's names we can't find yet! Have fun editing!

Incorrect usage of the minor edit checkbox.
Hello. I noticed that you mark a lot of your edits minor, when they really aren't. Adding just a few words or moving a section somewhere else on the page is just a minor edit, so you were correct there, but when you add an entirely new paragraph, that isn't considered a minor edit. Thank you.
Mathfreak231 (talk | contribs) 21:34, 26 April 2013 (UTC)
- We don't actually actively enforce minor edits like at all.
veggieman001 (talk | contribs) 22:02, 26 April 2013 (UTC)- True, but you should try to use it appropriately anyways because it makes tracking changes easier.
Mathfreak231 (talk | contribs) 13:17, 27 April 2013 (UTC)- Heck, veggie used to mark diffs of 1000 characters as minor. :P

Uploading lots of images
When the image that you uploaded doesn't show up, do a hard refresh, or clear your cache. That usually fixes it. In fact, i think i'll add those instructions to Special:Upload.

2.0 block images
We actually have nearly all of the 2.0 block images in Category:Scratch 2.0 Block Images, so you might want to check there before uploading new ones.

Categorization and Uploading Pictures
It looks like you have been doing a great job updating the block images to 2.0, however some of the images already exist on the wiki. You can find all of the 2.0 block images here. When you do upload an image (or create an article) on the wiki, make sure to categorize it. This is helps keep all of the images and articles on the wiki organized. Thanks!

Good work
Just wanted to say thanks for all of the work you've put into the wiki recently! Updating the TOC to 2.0 was good. And so was writing tutorials. :) Keep it up! :D

Your Welcome!

JPEGs and categories
Please remember to categorize images you upload somewhere under Category:Images. Also, if you can take screenshots in the PNG format, that's preferable over JPEGs (or GIFs). Thanks!

Template:Outdated
For the category, were you trying to put {{#ifeq:{{NAMESPACE}}||[[Category:Articles that Need Updated]]}}?
Curiouscrab (talk | contribs) 19:22, 13 July 2013 (UTC)
- No clue. I just copied it from another template, and changed a few things.
Turkey3 (talk | contribs) 15:17, 19 July 2013 (UTC)- You're looking for
{{#ifeq:{{NAMESPACE}}|{{ns:0}}|[[Category:Foo]]}}
. It categorizes the page if it's in the mainspace. The thing just holds the name of the mainspace in case it ever changes.
Mathfreak231 (talk | contribs) 22:04, 19 July 2013 (UTC)- Just curious, what does the #ifeq stand for or mean? And the ns:0? I'm just still trying to learn this stuff.
Turkey3 (talk | contribs) 23:30, 19 July 2013 (UTC)- I don't know for sure, but I belive it's ifeq[ual] or "if equal" and ns:0 is listed on Help:Magic words.
Curiouscrab (talk | contribs) 01:58, 20 July 2013 (UTC) - ns:0 is n=namespace so it says namespace 0
Curiouscrab (talk | contribs) 01:58, 20 July 2013 (UTC)- ...To answer your question more,
{{#ifeq:(1)|(2)|(3)|(4)}}
checks if (1) and (2) are equal, ignoring whitespace characters surrounding them (therefore " this " is treated equal to "this"). If they are, it puts (3), otherwise it puts (4), if given. {{ns:(blah)}}
returns the name of the namespace with numeration (blah). See Help:Magic words and Help:Namespaces for more info.- When put together, it means if the name of the namespace of the page ({{NAMESPACE}}) is equal to that name of namespace #0, then it puts the page in a category. Otherwise, it does nothing.
