Welcome to my talk page!!
Congratulations!
You have been voted by the Wiki community to be one of our new Experienced Wikians! We will change your user permissions shortly, but first we do need to discuss with you what your duties are. Here are the big ones:
- Confirming account requests - I will discuss that in detail later, it's kind of complicated
- Deleting pages - you may delete a page from the pencil menu, but please only do that when the page is either obviously useless or there is a community consensus
- Rolling back edits - you can roll back all of the edits on a page by a user by clicking "rollback n edits", but be warned that there is no confirmation dialog, so please try to avoid clicking it by accident
- Patrolling edits - when you look at an edit to a page, click "mark as patrolled" so that the rest of us know that someone looked at it and it's either ok or appropriate action has been taken
However, the most important thing you can do is have a more important voice in discussions. People will view your opinion as more official, so please be careful and make it clear when you are voicing your opinion and not one to represent the Wiki.
We will discuss this further later, but this is a quick start.

So about processing account requests, here's the basic process: look through the request, and look to see if the user provides specific examples of something they would help with. This means that the requesting user must name a page and what they would add to that page. If they name something that's already there, are unclear, don't actually say what they would add, or anything along those lines, provided they still attempt to give an example of how they would help that's more specific than "I will reference sources", "I will update old pages", "I will help New Scratchers with their games", etc., you should do what's called a "partial reject". To do that, mark the request as a partial reject and type in a reason. Then you comment on the user's profile saying that they need to clarify in order to have their request accepted, and if they do provide the necessary information, go under "Held requests" and accept the request. When commenting, try to be as specific as possible about what they need to say (i.e. "You said you would add to X page, what specifically would you add to that page?") If a request doesn't make any effort to provide am example at all, mark it as fully rejected and notify the user. The user will not have any opportunity to explain further and must wait a week or two to submit a new one.
If you have any questions, please contact me.

- Great, thanks for explaining this jvvg :) I'll take a more in-depth look when I get home after Track practice. :)

- You do track too? Nice! What events do you do? I do the 3200.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 00:35, 19 February 2016 (UTC)- Hi St19_Galla! Congratulations too!
- I wanted to point out a few more minor things, on top of what jvvg said. Although you can patrol edits, no one really does, so it's something you can safely ignore.
- The second thing is that Jvvg, KrIsMa, and I have a Skype chat where we can safely and quickly discuss matters about the Wiki. If you want to join the chat, when you become EW, can you post your Skype username in a new page then delete the page? Only admins should be able to see it.
ErnieParke (talk | contribs) 00:44, 19 February 2016 (UTC)- @jvvg, yep! Tryouts were today, yesterday, and the day before. I'm pretty sure I'll be running the 1600, either the 3200 or the 4x8, and high jump. What are your times? :) @ErnieParke Sure, will do :) Let me know when you want me to post it.

@jvvg Wow, you're very fast! My 1600 time trial today was a 5:10, but I'm hoping to get that down as the state winning time was down in the low 4:00's :/ My 3200 PR was set a long time ago in 7th grade so it's not accurate anymore xD I'll know around March at our first meet. 5k PR is 18:40. I'm not comfortable giving my grade, but I have a few more years of high school to hopefully get them down. :) I'm sure you can get it, you're not too far away ;) I'm assuming you're set up with many running scholarships? :D @KrIsMa, thank you for the well wishes, I won't disappoint :D
St19_Galla Talk • Contribs
- I hope you have a good season! I'm actually not being recruited for running since I actually am not fast enough, combined with the fact that I think doing a varsity sport in college would take too much out of my life. Instead, I plan doing a competitive running club, where I have more control over when I run and can still let classes take priority. However, in the meantime, I have already been rejected from two of my top schools, and am not optimistic about the last one (MIT).
jvvg (talk | contribs) 02:40, 19 February 2016 (UTC)- Have you thought about possible doing a year at a Community College than transferring to one of your top schools? The transfer acceptant rate is generally higher, so you might have a better chance. If not, I'm sure you'll strike gold somewhere :) You seem like a well-rounded, driven person. I wish you the best of luck!

Any ideas?
I want to create an article, but I can't think of anything. Got any ideas?
IgDegOo (talk | contribs) 15:05, 19 April 2016 (UTC)
- Generally, my rule of thumb is that if you have to think of an article to create, you probably shouldn't create it. An idea for an article should pop into your head, not you having to think of it ;)

Typo in SDS desc.
In the description of the SDS that you added to the news, it should be its, not it's :3

Pictures
Hello St19_galla! I finally got into the scratch wiki! I will contribute as much as I can, and I am super exited! I also wanted to ask, how do you become an experienced wikian? And I also wanted to ask whether there is any other way for uploading pictures in pages...? Because I am not able to get the URL of pictures to be uploaded!
~ Please help fast!!

- I became an EW because there was an election (it seems to be a yearly thing) and ended up being one of the winners. You also first have to become an active member who does a lot to be eligible.
Turkey3 (talk | contribs) 20:13, 8 September 2016 (UTC)- The elections are held whenever we see a need for one, which usually works out being every 12-18 months. To best way to upload a picture is to upload the file by clicking the link under "Tools" on the left and then including it in a page by following the instructions in Help:Images.

Question
Hi!!! You may or may not remember me. My normal scratch account got banned for claiming that I was against homosexuality. I am waiting on a response email from scratch. I'm actually starting to get concerned. My wiki is not banned, is it possible for my wiki to get banned? I don't even have access to my Scratch anymore, but I still have access to this. :/. I don't want this to get banned to though. Anyway, could you check out the second article in my sandbox, and tell me what you think?

300141 (talk | contribs) 13:29, 9 September 2016 (UTC)
- Generally Wiki accounts of users banned on Scratch are not banned. However, if they bring up drama about their ban or otherwise carry their behavior over to the Wiki, then they likely will be banned per the Wiki blocking policy. In your case, if you do not make further reference to the fact that you are banned on the main site and maintain good behavior here and you'll be fine.

You've been here quite awhile...
Looking through your talk page reveals a whole bunch of user history on the Wiki (e.g. I now know more details about jvvg's track life). I feel so young now, right after feeling old when I saw that I was older than Scratch itself. Is it possible, by the way, for you to let me look at your EW election speech? And what was it like making it? Feel free to reply here or on my talk; and reply in your own time, since I'm sure you're busy.

Your time as FPC
I saw in the notes in the List of FPCs that you became curator two days early. Why was that, and did you actually have an extra two days on shift?
kenny2scratch Talk Contribs Directory 03:44, 23 May 2017 (UTC)
- I became a curator two days early due to a problem with the previous curator that I would rather not discuss. :) But yes, I did have an extra 2 days on shift. Thanks for asking!

About links
When linking to pages on the Wiki please use the [[intra-wiki syntax]]. If you need to link to a section, you can actually just add the hash after the title, like this: Scratch Wiki talk:Community Portal#IsOnline Article. It works, and makes links considerably prettier. Thanks!

Updating Screenshots of Teacher Pages for Wiki
I noticed that you uploaded a screenshot here of a user named "TeachVisually". I was wondering If I could temporarily get access to that account so I could update the screenshots on the teacher side for the new UI update. I already have a teacher account, but don't want to add screenshots of real students and classes to the wiki. Also, it seems like this is the sole reason this account exists. Thanks!
RobotChickens (talk | contribs) 03:19, 3 December 2023 (UTC)
- Hi RobotChickens. Please Add New Threads To The Bottom Of A Talk Page, Not The Top. Second, That Account Belongs To Speakvisually, Not St19 Galla, And You Can't Share Accounts Anyway. If You Have A Teacher Account, You Can Just Inspect Element The Usernames To Something Else. But As Far As I Know They're Already Up To Date. I Went Through Most Of Them After The Color Contrast Update. If You Find Something Wrong Let Me Or Anyone Else Know! :)
Mrsrec (talk | contribs) 05:53, 3 December 2023 (UTC)- Whoops, my bad! And how would @St19_Galla get screenshots of the logged-in view if they didn't have the login? Anyways, only 3 images on this page are up to date... I think you missed some lol XD. Also, one of the class pages wasn't inspect element-ed, so some images are broken
