Hey there! This page is maintained by me, Redglitter - so please don't edit it unless you have my permission. This is because it is one of my user pages. Although it's technically public, I'd appreciate it if you could avoid editing it unless it is a talk page and you'd like to leave a message - which is fine, but please don't mess up the formatting whilst doing so! (Don't worry, I know you wouldn't.) Thanks! - @redglitter |

Welcome to the Scratch Wiki!
Hey there! Welcome to the Scratch Wiki, Redglitter! We are glad that you've decided to join us here! I'm Daring_Sailor, and I'm here to answer any questions or queries you might have about the Wiki. You can message me on my Talk Page if you need help with anything on the Wiki, have a question you want to ask, or just to chat!
If you want to find pages to edit, then you could look at Articles to expand or Article stubs to find pages that you can improve. Alternatively, you could have a look at Innacurate articles to find places to add references. I also get my own inspiration from Special:Random.
Have great time on the Wiki! Hope to see you around making some great edits! Bye for now, Redglitter!

Welcome to the Scratch Wiki!
Hello, Redglitter! Welcome to the Scratch Wiki, and congratulations on getting accepted! My name is WolfCat67. I hope you can make the best of edits around this place, and make the wiki a more useful source of information than it already was. If you need help around the wiki, then feel free to ask on my talk page or the help pages.
See you around!
Templates aside, there was no doubt you'd make it if you applied. Nice to finally see you here!

Welcome!
Welcome to the Scratch Wiki! I look forward to the useful edits you'll make and hope you'll have fun here. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page, where you can talk about the Wiki, get my help with templates, or even ask personal questions, and more! If you need quick help with wiki markup, take a look at Scratch Wiki:Cheatsheet. You might want to go to Category:Articles to Expand to find pages that need editing. I get my inspiration from Special:RecentChanges however, so looking at that helps too. See you around, Redglitter; |

Just a quick tip.
Just a quick tip; when replying to things on your talk page (or any talk page), you should try to remember to "indent" before your reply. To indent, put a colon (:) before what you're writing. Always add one more indent than the person above you did. Fox example, this one has no indents, so you'd put one. However, after one person reaches six indents, you should "outdent", by putting {{outdent|6}} before your reply. This will make an "outdent" appear, and then you can continue with the colon thing. Change the number used on the outdent code based on how many colons the person above you put. It'll look something like this:
Original Post
:Reply 1
::Reply 2
:::Reply 3
::::Reply 4
:::::Reply 5
::::::Reply 6
{{outdent|6}}Reply 7
...And so on. Hope this helps you out in some way!

Your Welcome Template
Um... Something funny happened when I tried welcoming CatOverload... Your welcome template seems to be "taking over" my post. There may be an issue with your <div> tags on your post, or some sort of flaw with it. You should probably ask one of the more "experienced" wikians (like customhacker) about it and how to fix it.
WolfCat67 (talk | contribs) 16:30, 28 June 2017 (UTC)
- I took a look at it..I believe I've fixed it. Just copy and paste this code (I just fixed a few div tags and center tags):
<div style="border: 2px solid red; width: 90%; height:auto; margin:10px; padding:10px; border-radius:10px; mob-border-radius: 10px; webkit-border-radius: 10px">

Please fix your custom signature
Hi! I saw you got a custom signature! It looks pretty nice, but there's two things that need fixing:
- Your siggy doesn't have a linebreak at the start! That's why you had to make this edit to put your siggy on a new line. You can just add
<br/>
to the start of your signature and it'll be OK. - Your siggy is too big! You need to make a minisig. Please follow the instructions here.
Thanks!

Custom Stuff
HAI! Um, do you know how to make custom signatures? (Can't seem to figure it out!) ˈ ‿ˈ
Thanks,
MissNebula (talk | contribs)
- Hey! What you need to do is make a page called User:MissNebula/sig or something like that and make sure you have a 18 x 18 or 20 x 20 version of your profile pic, a link to your talk page, user page and contributions page, and then you can pretty much go crazy with the decoration Mine's quite simple, you can use it as a base if you like. Just click here and edit the page. Copy and paste the code and make sure you hit the back button when getting out of edit mode. Once you've created your sig, make another page called your 'minisig' and just put in two sets of curly braces {{ }} the link to your signature. Then just go into preferences and link up your minisig with curly braces (there are a lot of curly braces on the wiki) and you're done! Hope this helps! Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions or I haven't explained this very well.
Redglitter (Talk ~ Contributions ~ 541 edits) 20:20, 18 August 2018 (UTC)- Hai, about that... how do you create pages? I never have any idea where to go to create pages! And well, the minisig explanation.....Could you go in a bit more detail?
- Thanks,
MissNebula (talk | contribs)- Hey! The first thing you need to do is click this: User:MissNebula/signature. Since this page doesn't exist, you're taken to the editor where you create the page. That will also happen if you search a page that doesn't exist - it'll just says that you can create the page by "editing this page." The next thing - add your profile pic. Just save the image you've got on your current sig and go to Special:Upload to upload it. Use the insert image tool next to the link tool to add it to the new page. Now make sure it includes your username, and link to the following: your userpage, your talk page, and your contributions ("contribs"). Once you've done that, press save changes and go here to create your minisig page. On that page, all you need to do is type this: {{User:MissNebula/signature}}. Save that. Then go into preferences - it's in the drop-down menu that appears if you click your username on the wiki header. Whilst you're there, you might want to confirm your email address and do all the other personal stuff. Anyways, on the first page, go to the signature section and type in this: {{User:MissNebula/minisig}}. Now go to the bottom of the page and press save, and your custom signature will be up and running! I hope that was a better explanation!

Redglitter (Talk ~ Contributions ~ 541 edits) 17:44, 11 December 2018 (UTC)- FYI, the "eight colon test"'s name is very self-explanatory. If your sig wraps lines at 8 indents (on SWS), you need to shorten it. Usually a single word for each link works.

About your pfp
In your don't edit template, it has a little image that says: Redglitter Profile Picture.gif. I believe this is because you can't use gifs like that... but I'm not sure. You may want to change it to a normal .png or .jpg file. Also, why is my title pink but everybody else's is white? Or is that just me?
EIephant_Lover Talk Contributions Subpages 22:06, 28 January 2019 (UTC)

EIephant_Lover Talk Contributions Subpages 22:08, 28 January 2019 (UTC)- Gifs are allowed if they aren't flashy (only for sigs). You can use gifs on userpages though.

Don't use external links for Wiki pages!
Hey, I noticed that here you have a few external links to Wiki pages. They show a small box with an arrow beside them. If it is a link to a page on the Wiki, you should make it a Wiki link. For example, if you wanted to link to this page, you would select the text you wanted to link it (or no text at all), and click the link button. First, select the "To a wiki page" button. Then, type only the page name, User talk:Redglitter, not https://en.scratch-wiki.info/wiki/User_talk:Redglitter, in the top box. Do not put underscores! Replace any and all underscores with spaces. Then, if you didn't have text selected, input the text you want in the second box. If it says "Page does not exist", then make sure you have all of the spelling and capitalization correct. Otherwise, you can just put [[User talk:Redglitter]] as your link, or [[User talk:Redglitter|this]] to have a different display text than the link. Alternatively you can look here to see if that page explains it better. For example, doesn't this look more suspicious than this? Just remember to not put underscores in the links
EIephant_Lover Talk Contributions Subpages 17:31, 9 February 2019 (UTC)
- I don't think this matters for userspace pages. Someone can correct me if I am wrong.
12944qwerty Talk Contribs Scratch 22:15, 9 February 2019 (UTC)- I'm fairly certain you shouldn't do it either way, if someone has written proof can they let me know (I don't know if that sounds rude.)? Anyway, here it specifically says both to never use underscores in links and to never use external links to internal pages. Never as in not ever.
EIephant_Lover Talk Contributions Subpages 00:02, 10 February 2019 (UTC)- The style guide does not technically apply in userspace; that being said, it's still best practice to follow it, even in userpages, since it makes it easier for other people to understand how you made your page, and it generally looks better if you follow the guide (especially for the no-ext-wikilinks guideline!).
kenny2scratch Talk Contribs Directory 10:40, 11 February 2019 (UTC)- Okay. It's definitely good practice to do so, and yep, it does look better to follow it. I apologize for incorrectly correcting you, Redglitter.

Hey, redglitter. I have joined the wiki, and I might be able to help with your S4P wiki soon, but first, How do you set up your userpage? I don't like the way it is now. Can you help?
SpyGuy9 (talk | contribs) 13:56, 18 March 2019 (UTC)
- Although, I'm not redglitter, I can help!
- Google is your best friend! You will need to know HTML CSS formatting and wiki formatting to make your userpage look cool. I recommend https://www.w3schools.com for CSS formatting and S:CHEAT and S:NEW for wiki formatting and the wiki basics.
- Practice! Make headers and Scratch Wiki:Custom Signatures to practise.
- Be patient! It will take time and trial & error. You will keep changing it.
- These are my tips, if you have any questions, feel free to ask here!
12944qwerty Talk Contribs Scratch 15:20, 18 March 2019 (UTC)- Hi! Great to see you on here!
- I made my userpage by using CSS (you can use 12944qwerty's advice there). Often, I see other users' userpages and I copy, paste and edit the code they use. You can also create your own formatting templates by creating a page (e.g: User:SpyGuy9/Sidebar Template) so that you can easily reuse things on multiple pages. These are my tips, I hope they help!
