Status: I'm not extremely active on here anymore, more active on Scratch | Read more...

Welcome to my talk page! This is the page in which you can talk with me or inform me of any other mistakes I do on the Scratch Wiki (which I do a lot, so you can expect some complainers around here). But anyways, if you meant to talk with someone else, I recommend going there instead of talking with me. I'm not so experienced in the Wiki yet, but I'm happy to reply to any questions! I do have some rules though.

[NOTE] I might be very inactive sometimes, because I'm busy with other things and can't spend my entire time here.. I'm saying this on my talk page so you know what is happening if I don't respond to your message.

Rules

  • Please do not spam or argue, which almost never happens in the Wiki but just for safety
  • Please do not hesitate to ask me millions of questions, I'm cool
  • Please click on the "Show preview" button and see if your post is good before posting, because I don't want Interwiki barging into your house
  • Please try to call me "Nammy", because it's a lot more convenient for you and better for me
  • Please warn me if I make a mistake, but assume good faith
  • If you wanted to say something on my Scratch profile but want to post it here, feel free to do so!

Make sure to post something before leaving, Bye!

Yes Done — That's karma for ya :P

In one of your recent messages, you outdented. The outdent template is great, but for neatness, just remember that {{outdent}}'s parameter is asking you to specify how many indents you're recovering from, not how many indents you would make if you were to continue. It took a while for me to learn, but you'll eventually get the hang of it. :)

16:45, 7 January 2020 (UTC)

Oof, I did an archive and seem like a professional but don't know how to use {{outdent}}. Well, seems like I need practice just like you. And I don't believe in karma :P
Nambaseking01 (talk | contribs) 16:51, 7 January 2020 (UTC)
haha, the karma was you were telling someone to indent, but in a later edit, outdented to specify how many indents you would make if you were to continue. :P
16:55, 7 January 2020 (UTC)
Ahh yes, I said that to jakel181. Oof :P
Nambaseking01 (talk | contribs) 16:56, 7 January 2020 (UTC)

Yes Done — What is "indent"?

What is "indent your posts" an how do you do it? I'm new.
Tabourettable (talk | contribs) 10:46, 8 January 2020 (UTC)

Indenting is a rule when you are on talk pages, like right now. So for example, say someone posts "Hi" on your talk page and you reply saying "Hello!". Then the two posts will be right under each other which makes it seem like it's the same post. So to make sure your post is aligned more to the right side of the talk page, you use indents, which are basically colons (search it up if you don't know).
But here are some rules about indenting:
  • If you start a new paragraph or line without it automatically happening, you need to put the same amount of indents as the first time you did it on your post. Otherwise it won't work properly.
  • If a user has already indented once and has one colon, then you need to put two, and an older user has two, you need to put three, and so on...
  • The problem is that when you go to the right too much then posts will start glitching and get invisible. In moments like these, simply see how much indents the last user who posted used. And if it was, say, 8, then you'll have to put {{outdent|8}} or just put the amount of indents the last user used instead of the 8.
Hopefully you understand what indenting means now!

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── just a test, I'm not sue this wil work.
Tabourettable (talk | contribs) 15:43, 8 January 2020 (UTC)
Oof, you had to put {{outdent|1}} there. And why did you use outdent when you can just indent? The alignment is currently small.
Nambaseking01 (talk | contribs) 16:58, 8 January 2020 (UTC)
Template:Indent this way?
Tabourettable (talk | contribs) 17:32, 8 January 2020 (UTC)

Yes Done — how do you indent?

please le t me know, your {{outdent|8}} don't work!
Tabourettable (talk | contribs) 15:44, 8 January 2020 (UTC)

It was working, but I replied above with a mistake you made and a small clarification.

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── how do you do?

Yes DoneOne problem

Your center and div tags aren't working properly.

19:16, 8 January 2020 (UTC)

I noticed - can you help me fix it? I tried everything and it's still not working.
Nambaseking01 (talk | contribs) 14:47, 9 January 2020 (UTC)
I can edit it to fix it for you, if you want

Nambaseking01 (talk | contribs) 15:32, 9 January 2020 (UTC)
I fixed it. It isn't 100% the same, but it doesn't break formatting any more. The tags were being very weird...

Yes Done — Please remember to sign your posts

Hello, I'm WikiMonitor, a bot that patrols the Recent Changes. This is just a friendly reminder that it appears you forgot to sign your post in revision 244788 of User talk:Nambaseking01. Please fix this by adding four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your post to insert your signature and remember to sign your posts in the future. Signing your posts is important as it allows other Wikians to see who made a post. Thanks!
This message was sent by an automated bot run by jvvg. You can contact him on his talk page with any concerns.

Yes Done — Tip

Welcome back! I see you're being messaged attacked by WikiMonitor. Here's a handy tip: Mark non-post edits with "This is a minor edit" so that WikiMonitor will ignore it. Here, have a waffle. Waffle Emoji.png
TenType (talk | contribs) 16:15, 15 April 2020 (UTC)

Back at it with fixing my problems, are you? XD Thanks for explaining. I'll eat that waffle and maybe I should also just put the "done" mark when I'm writing the post to prevent issues like clicking on a button.

Yes Done — Where do I start?

Hey, I do not know where to start editing. It seems like almost all the wiki pages have been created for everything on Scratch and I do not know which ones need to be edited. So, is there a page that tells what pages need work done on or what pages need to be created?
Accountcraft123 (talk | contribs) 15:43, 19 April 2020 (UTC)

Hey, man, I know everything will be confusing at start, but there is actually a very simple system for this.
Go to this page and read it, and then start looking for all the categories in which you can edit stuff. It's very simple.
Hopefully you understand!

So, What do you need help with then? PS could you tell me how those signatures like kenny2scratch are made? ContourLines 17:08, 13 May 2020 (UTC)

Haha, understandable. I still need to run my shop on Scratch, but for the rest I've decided to dedicate myself here. Kinda the same, but I still want to run my shop :P

Yes Done — Re to your post on the CP

About your CP post about getting a new gaming computer, I recommend you get a laptop dock. If your computer supports Thunderbolt 3, you can use a dock to send a signal to a monitor, add USB ports for keyboard and mice, and even add an external graphics card! While all of that happens, the laptop charges. And all of this with just one cord. This video from Technology Connections goes into a lot further detail.
VFDan.png Luvexina  Talk  Contribs  On Scratch  03:02, 2 October 2020 (UTC)

reeeeeeeeeeeee I'm not a computer pro but I understand a little of what you mean, and I think I'll look into it :D
Nambaseking01 (talk | contribs) 14:52, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
how many cores are in your computer? my gaming computer has a whopping 10 cores, but my laptop i use for school and other stuff only has 2 cores.

garnetluvcookie (talk | contribs) 15:31, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
again, i'm nub, but a sticker on my pc be saying core i7 if that means something
Nambaseking01 (talk | contribs) 15:33, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
Sorry but that doesn't help D: if you link the page where you bought the product, I should be able to find that out
VFDan.png Luvexina  Talk  Contribs  On Scratch  00:33, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
You can also go to Task Manager and use the performance tab. Personally my laptop has an i5-7500U, 8gb RAM, and integrated graphics.

────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────What's the laptop design? Because it would have information about your core count on it's official page. It would be somewhere on your laptop...
ContourLines Logo.png ContourLines [ Talk ~ Contributions ~ Directory ] 08:52, 3 October 2020 (UTC)

It's a HP Pavilion gaming laptop, if that helps :P
Nambaseking01 (talk | contribs) 08:54, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
Hmmmm... Normally computer names have numbers after then, like mines a Dell Inspiron 2350, from that you can get the core count.
ContourLines Logo.png ContourLines [ Talk ~ Contributions ~ Directory ] 08:57, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
I did a bit of intense key-smashing and your computer is likely a quad core, which isn't bad for a gaming laptop, especially if it runs macOS (eyes and silently yells at Big Sur)

garnetluvcookie (talk | contribs) 08:59, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-dk1xxx maybe?
Nambaseking01 (talk | contribs) 09:00, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
HP laptops have really weird names. Mine's like an HP Laptop bs-0xx or something (That's probably wrong), whereas my old Gateway laptop was a Gateway NV53a.

Yes Done — Lego boost blocks

I have no idea how you determined that lego boost blocks are "supernatural" or how that applies here, but that extra disambig is completely unnecessary and is not used when there are no other blocks under that name. In addition, you decided to capitalize the initial text which should not be capitalized per S:MOS. A large amount of edits have been made that must now all be undone. Please exercise caution when mass editing in the future. Thank you.
