Welcome to my talk page! Holiday messages, requests, rants, questions, comments and anything else is welcome, as long as it abides by the Wiki policies. However, try to keep most discussions on the Community Portal discussion page, rather than here, unless it's something only I would know about or could help with; or else, I will move the discussion to the Community Portal discussion page.

My account, some free awesomesauce, and more my account
Listen. Today, I was roaming around Scratch when I came across the wiki. I soon decided to sign up. When I did... It said that my account had already been activated. Does someone either love me or hate me?
Oh, yes. I've decided to hand you some awesomesause to enhance your awesome awesomeness. File:Awesomesauce.png
Finally: I've seen this, and I think this has to do with you being an admin or something, but...
You deleted my page?
Anyway, I'd like to salute you for your awesomeness.

Chrischb (talk | contribs) 10:58, 17 February 2011 (UTC) - Well, about eight months ago you said that you wanted to join the wiki (your post), so an account was created for you. :P

On Special:Statistics it says that this is the fourth most viewed page on the whole wiki. How'd it get +9000 views!?

Dazman (talk | contribs) 18:24, 13 March 2011 (UTC)- Or maybe that's what the bureaucrats get, just from their title and popularity. :/
Scimonster (talk | contribs) 18:32, 13 March 2011 (UTC) - Lucario used to manage the wiki, so we would come to his talk page instead of the Community Portal... uh, lol? :P

What what the styling problem you fixed?
If you ended the table in my header so that it wouldn't style the whole page, i did that intentionally.
Scimonster (talk | contribs) 03:43, 22 April 2012 (UTC)

So
Even if the 2.0 theme is in progress, why shouldn't it be used? And what's wrong with giving a link? Did JSO ask for it to be hidden?
Scimonster (talk | contribs) 06:35, 10 May 2012 (UTC)
I wonder
Where'd you get this styling from? Lol.
Scimonster (talk | contribs) 18:40, 12 May 2012 (UTC)
- It's mostly based on an upcoming Scratch 2.0 skin for the Scratch Wiki. I'm trying this out to see how it would look to change various templates used on the wiki.
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 00:59, 14 May 2012 (UTC)

Bsteward (talk | contribs)01:30, 14 May 2012 (UTC)

What is the whole deal with your sandbox8. Dont we already have a community portal.

- See the conversation above this.
Scimonster (talk | contribs) 11:07, 14 May 2012 (UTC) - Yeah, it's not a new Community Portal - it's just a test page for a new template. Perhaps it will replace the current help box on the top of the Community Portal. :)
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 21:40, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
All those sandboxes
Is this what they're for? Also, do you plan on adding them? And can we edit them, even though they're in your sandboxes?
Scimonster (talk | contribs) 09:07, 21 May 2012 (UTC)
- Umm, not necessarily. They're just pages I may or may not add to the wiki in the future. Since they're part of my user pages, no, you can't edit them. If you have suggestions or comments, you can just post them here, on my talk page.
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 19:42, 21 May 2012 (UTC)- I think you should add them. They're pretty well written, and would serve as a great tutorial for new users. The first could even replace Scratch Wiki:Welcome, with the rest as subpages.

Curiouscrab
Okay, so can you talk to this user. Here are some of the things he does bad:
- He puts his sig at the top of his post
- He doesn't indent his posts
- He wants to be an admin so he can protect his user page and protect somebody's else's user page
- He created the page New Wiki Members which was a duplicate of help contents
And every time I tried to talk to him, he just ignored me.
Joletole (talk | contribs) 22:52, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
- It's okay, don't worry. He's new to the wiki, and we all make mistakes. :) I see that you recently put a message on his talk page, so that's good. I know that a lot of the ways we do things here on the wiki (including how we respond to messages on talk pages) is a lot different from on the forums or on projects, so its understandable that he might be confused or make mistakes. Just be sure to be kind and help improve on his mistakes, and word things in a positive way - we want the Scratch Wiki to be a happy, diverse place!
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 00:24, 1 October 2012 (UTC)- Lucario261, you seem to be a pretty cool guy. Here are my reasons for such dumb things:
- The New Wiki Page was for my help really.
- The Help:Contents is confusing.
- If I organized it Joletole would blow up.
- I was being dumb with the whole admin thing.
- I was having a bad day and couldn't think. Don't we all?
- I fixed my sig on all of my posts that I could find and now know.
- I don't know what Joletole means by indenting posts.
- I just fixed how my watchlist is. It had gotten messed up so I had no clue Joletole was talking to me. I wasn't ignoring him at all.
Thanks.
Curiouscrab (talk | contribs) 23:27, 14 October 2012 (UTC)
- That's okay Curiouscrab. :) We all have bad days, and it's only natural that you're unfamiliar with how we do some of the things on the wiki. Everything can be edited and fixed, so there's no problem with making mistakes. I am also hoping to work on Help:Contents to improve that page and make the wiki easier to use for new members. I'm glad to hear your feedback about it - a long list can be quite boring too look at after all, and it could use a change. Thanks for the suggestions.
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 00:49, 15 October 2012 (UTC)- The wiki could really use a suggestions page. I'm going inactive starting now.
Curiouscrab (talk | contribs) 00:58, 15 October 2012 (UTC) - It's okay Curiouscrab, I was having a bad day too. Sorry I blew up on you like that. I really should not have done that. I am really sorry.

signature
Can I use this as my signature?
User:Curiouscrab/sig
I don't like to use the same photo over and over again. I like both pics and want to use both. Thanks.
Curiouscrab (talk | contribs) 23:16, 14 October 2012 (UTC)
- To make discussions on the Scratch Wiki easy to navigate and understand, you should only use one signature (that you post by typing ~~~~). The image that is used on the wiki is the same one you have on the Scratch website. Perhaps you can combine the two photos together or pick your favorite one and then upload it on your My Stuff page? Having a fancy signature with special images isn't really important after all - I wouldn't worry about it too much. :)
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 00:43, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
thanks
Thanks for deleting by my request. I was doing stuff in my sandbox and accidently created a new template thinking that I was still editing my sandbox. I had the double click thing on and went to double click, but did it on the template since it blends in with the picture.

I don't know if this was okay, but curiouscrab created a new archive. Probably should be reverted, or kept the same.
Joletole (talk | contribs) 21:40, 6 November 2012 (UTC)

Curiouscrab (talk | contribs) 22:43, 6 November 2012 (UTC)- Or he might revert the edit. One of the conversations wasn't done.
Joletole (talk | contribs) 22:45, 6 November 2012 (UTC)- Which one? It can be put on the clean portal and continued, but you might have to put something about it. Maybe there can be a thing where you can put the Done template at the end of each completed conversation and the Not done template at the end of each incomplete conversation.
Curiouscrab (talk | contribs) 22:49, 6 November 2012 (UTC)- Good idea! I'll bring that up on the CP.

- Archiving of the Community Portal should just be done by the administrators. I appreciate that Curiouscrab wants to help with that, but it's a task that requires a lot of moving and protecting of pages, as well as a good insight for deciding discussions should be kept or archived. Having a normal contributor doing parts of this process is something that can cause confusion and I would like to avoid. So for future reference, I would just like admins to be archiving the Community Portal (although you can still archive your own userpage). :)
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 03:27, 9 November 2012 (UTC)
incorrect article
I read in an article that the Community Portal is open to unregistered users to use. When I logged off and tried to see if it was true, it turned to be false. I believe it was actually something in the first or second CP (I was bored and began reading that) when I saw that. Should something be put about stuff in the archives are not always reliable in the archive header template?
Curiouscrab (talk | contribs) 23:21, 3 December 2012 (UTC)
- I don't think that's necessary. It's kind of assumed that since the discussion is outdated, the circumstances may have changed. The idea of having the Community Portal open to unregistered users was just an early idea, but it was dropped because of various issues that arose.
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 02:35, 4 December 2012 (UTC)- I was thinking that, but you never know. The Interwiki article may be outdated, but is kept out anyway. ;)
Curiouscrab (talk | contribs) 02:37, 4 December 2012 (UTC)- Checking Special:Version, there is an extension called EditSubpages: Allows sysops to unlock a page and all subpages of that page for anonymous editing via MediaWiki:Unlockedpages. Question
About your deletion of the template SigMiss: why delete it? I just want a more thourough reason. Thanks.
KrIsMa user | talk | contribs | edits 03:08, 6 December 2012 (UTC)
- I think the template could easily scare new users. I've seen a lot of users mess up with their signature in the past, and although having a template to use might be convenient, it could be quite intimidating - especially with the warning icon on it. :P Just fixing the user's signature and/or telling them that they made a mistake (if they're new) is usually a better option. :)
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 03:48, 6 December 2012 (UTC)- Thanks for your advice! One more, do you know how to make your custom signatures auto-sign? Also, do you know the wiki markup language? Because User:KrIsMa/Spacer seems to be broken. thanks!

KrIsMa user | talk | contribs | edits 05:56, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
- It'll be happenin', but this time, like, an official bureaucrat-backed thing.
veggieman001 (talk | contribs) 06:25, 27 January 2013 (UTC)- I actually find that a tad unfair, because an admin can do something that I cannot (create an article for deletion page)... I got the reason: "Not nessasary; you could just tell an admin". But yes, I understand.
- KrIsMa user | talk | contribs | edits 02:31, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
- You're right, it's unfair. However, he's kind of one of the ones "in charge" of organising the community. A single user can't just create a policy and implement it without outside input unless that user is allowed to (plus he's gotten some input from me and possibly JSO?).

You remind me of someone else
Back when I liked to play chess a lot, there was a website called Chesskid.com and there was a user (also an admin) who had a personality similar to yours: open, friendly, and with very good grammar. In other words, their posts and your posts are generally similar. I was just checking to make sure you don't have a double identity (because I'm sure the real names are different). Lol off topic much

Template creation
How do you create a template?
Devloper123 (talk | contribs)11:01,23 Febuary 2013
- You create a page as with any other, but in the Template namespace. However, it is recommended that you ask on the Community Portal before creating new templates, to see if it's a good idea.

Not because it's a bad faith edit or anything, but could you revert the edits on my user page to the one before April 1st? I was just doing a Pico joke like all over the Scratch website. It'd really help so that I wouldn't have to find where everything was and re-organize it. Thanks!

Mathfreak231 (talk | contribs) 12:42, 16 July 2013 (UTC) - That would defeat the purpose of redlinks and make them not clickable...

Wikia Scratch Wiki
Due to all these changes, many of the links lead to nonexistent or wrong pages. The homepage is here. I know you have admin rights there. Users tend to get frustrated when while attempting to go do something they click a bad link and can't do what they want.

- That wiki is no longer updated, though...
veggieman001 (talk | contribs) 09:53, 19 July 2013 (UTC) - And the link on the homepage still does work, it's just a redirect.

Is It Okay If I Copy All That MARVELOUS Work Somewhere Else So Others Can Work On It Too? And Eventually We Can Release It?

Admin?
My computer has spell check. I compress files really good! I have made over 100 edits to the wiki in a month! I would be happy to be an admin please! I am active a lot! Please reply on my talk page so I am notified.
Bbciplayer (talk | contribs) 15:53, 12 January 2014 (UTC)
- You only joined a month or two ago. It takes at least half a year and even more hard work to become admin.
Mathfreak231 (talk | contribs) 16:07, 12 January 2014 (UTC)
OK
Bbciplayer (talk | contribs) 16:28, 12 January 2014 (UTC)
- Plus I think from now on, we're doing elections.

Edit
Woah! You edited again! :D
derpmeup (talk | contribs) 02:44, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
- 1.) When I saw your name in recent changes I was like o_____________o
2.) That will probably be your only edit in 2014. xD
derpmeup (talk | contribs) 02:49, 21 September 2014 (UTC) - Yeah, I've been quite busy with school lately, so I can't guarantee that I will start editing more. But I do like to just take a peek at how the wiki is looking every once in a while. :)
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 00:14, 22 September 2014 (UTC)- Yep, it's really come a long way :) Some of the newer really active editors are Krett12, -PRO-, and I, and there have been some promotions here. ErnieParke is now an Experienced Wikian (Oh, forgot to tell you about that lol An experienced wikian is kinda like a sysop, but with less permissions, they were mainly made for account creation, so they have that privilege + deleting pages and patrolling edits, I think), and he's probably going to be an admin soon, Mathfreak231's now an admin and so is jvvg, Hardmath123's also an Experienced Wikian, scmb1's now a bureaucrat, and Scimonster's possibly going to become a bureaucrat soon. Also, there's a new election coming up in 1 to 2 months, it's being discussed on the Community Portal ;) And yep, that's right, sci's still here :P

Hey...
I see you are trying to approve accounts! No, we don't go to accounts/approve.php anymore. You can go here instead ;)
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 01:00, 2 October 2014 (UTC)
- How did you figure out that he was trying?
derpmeup (talk | contribs) 01:11, 2 October 2014 (UTC)- I should just point out that we have stricter policies on account request processing now than we had before. So that we're all on the same page, please check out Scratch Wiki:Become a contributor/Admin Guide for the details of what we now look for.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 01:18, 2 October 2014 (UTC)- @Derpmeup i saw it in the server error log. And jvvg, thank you.

If you can see the server error log, then there is a security glitch. Please tell us where you found it so we can get that fixed.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 10:54, 2 October 2014 (UTC)
- I was looking thru the public backend stuff and I pressed error log and boom. it said they tried accessing the old page.
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 11:23, 2 October 2014 (UTC)
