Welcome!
Welcome to the Scratch Wiki, Lovecodeabc!
Congrats on getting your account accepted! My name is TenType, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask on my talk page! I recommend you read the welcome tutorial and the cheatsheet to help you get started. For me, looking at the Recent Changes and random pages helps for inspiration. Also, if you are seeking for pages to edit, you might want to go to some articles in need of expanding. Enjoy your stay!
By the way, you can use the link style template to make your links a certain color! :) TenType (talk | contribs) 19:22, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
Welcome to the Wiki!
I recommend you to look at top of the page and read the message. Good luck and good edits in the Wiki! |

Welcome!
By the way, I've compiled a list of tips for New Wikians. To see them, click "Expand" on the right side of the box below.
New Wikian Tips |
---|
These tips were written by Bigpuppy and transcluded from this page. The original version was written for Dressygirl, but now they are quite different. Thanks to jvvg and Kenny2scratch for helping me touch it up. I originally wrote the indenting instructions for Ski-, but I've changed them a lot for these tips. |
Have fun on the Scratch Wiki, and good luck editing!

Bug Reports redirect
Recently, you've put the {{delete}} template on one of my redirects, but did not put in a reason for deletion. Can you please explain why the redirect should be deleted? As far as I know it follows all of the guidelines outlined here. Thanks
(I'm trying to follow the D method of BRD FYI.) 4096bits | Talk | 883 Contribs 14:53, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
- The reason for that:
- Also, not-logged-in users might find it confusing:
"What is this?" "A redirect." " What is that?"
- Also, you can, using HTML, just put a redirect without the user having to click a link.
Lovecodeabc Links: talk (new topic) | contribs (815) | directory 17:19, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
- I still don't really understand your reason. Can you please clarify that? Wouldn't every redirect be deleted because of that reason? Thanks for responding

Sorry for not responding, but it changed to a HTML redirect by Jammum.

Not done
Hi! On your signature, there is a delete template. This is ok, but the only problem is that on every discussion you signed, it markes the page in the delete catagory. You can fix this by removing that page in your wiki preferences. Thank you! leahcimto talk • contribs • profile 23:15, 12 November 2020 (UTC)

Hi there! I noticed you included an email address on your userpage, so I had to remove it. I'm leaving this talk page message as a reminder that the Community Guidelines apply here. So, please do not share personal information like email addresses. Thank you for your contributions to the wiki! bigpuppy talk ▪︎ contribs 18:53, 27 November 2020 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks! Since there was Special:EmailUser I thought it was okay.

- Thanks for understanding. Special:EmailUser is disabled for that reason.

The question on your userpage
Hi. The MediaWiki software creates title's first letter as capital as default. However, you can use {{DISPLAYTITLE:User talk:lovecodeabc}}
if you want to change it, for your information. Sincerely, ahmetlii Talk Contributions Directory 13:53, 29 November 2020 (UTC)

A revision you reverted on the sandbox
Here, you reverted a revision where another user cleared the sandbox. You stated that there is 'no reason to do it'.
It is allowed for a user other than a bot to clear the sandbox. Users have done that before and WikiMonitor might not always be turned on to clear it. Jammum (💬 Talk - ✍️ Contribs) 07:16, 22 December 2020 (UTC)

Your Sandbox with Templates
Hi! I see on your sandbox you put a bunch of templates. That is ok, but it adds the page to a lot of catagories, such as the Pages in need of deletion template. Please type |cat=no}}
to the end of your delete and not useful template to remove it from these templates. For exaple, the delete template should look like this: {{delete|cat=no}}
. Thanks! leahcimto talk • contribs • profile 22:07, 25 December 2020 (UTC)

Hi, just noticing that your current signature looks nice, but it uses direct wikitext, which isn't allowed. Please update it according to this guide. Thanks! kenny2scratch Talk Contribs Directory 20:07, 28 December 2020 (UTC)

Merge on Sorting Algorithms
To answer your question, yes I did notice the {{merge}} template. That's why I did what I did. I took the contents of the page not used on Sorting Values and added them there. I turned Sorting Algorithms into a redirect since its contents had been fully merged, but people may still want to search it. I'm notifying you before reverting it in case I'm missing something. jvvg (talk | contribs) 02:17, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
- Did you notice that Sorting Values was a tutorial?
Lovecodeabc Links: talk (new topic) | contribs (815) | directory 02:35, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
- That by itself isn't relevant to the fact that the articles are essentially duplicates. I'll admit I kinda just crammed content into the second article, but I wanted to remove the duplicate as quickly as possible and then later we can improve Sorting Values.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 03:36, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
- It's a tutorial nontheless, and really isn't open to advanced sorting(aka, mergesort).
Lovecodeabc Links: talk (new topic) | contribs (815) | directory 13:13, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
- That's ultimately an opinion, and my opinion disagrees. I think we should put the easier methods at the beginning, but not prevent them from having instructions on how to program more advanced (read: faster) options. Given that now this is a content dispute though, I'm going to move this discussion to the talk page.

Please be less forceful in your edits
I reverted your edit because it was unnecessarily forceful (bold, all caps, multiple exclamation marks). I appreciate your fervor for adding tips, but try to tone it down. I won't stop you if you add the same tip but in a calmer manner. kenny2scratch Talk Contribs Directory 20:06, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
Scratch Wiki:Custom Signatures
Not done I think that the "eight colon test" means ensuring Scratch Wiki:Sandbox doesn't break if you set its contents to "::::::::~~~~", not putting eight colons in your actual signature.
