Underscores in links

I was thinking about reverting your bot's edit here (it's a case of no-link-underscores), but I thought I should ask you first. It was a link to users:Evil_Kumquat that got changed to users:Evil Kumquat by your bot. I'd think that users:Evil_Kumquat would be better, though, to preserve the underscore in the username (the same reason we use {{ROOTPAGENAMEE}} instead of {{ROOTPAGENAME}}). If you agree that it should stay as users:Evil_Kumquat, perhaps it would be a good idea to modify your bot to ignore internal links with the "users:" prefix. What do you think?

I already noticed this issue and I agree 100% that an exception to that rule should be made for the users: prefix. You can go ahead and modify the style guide if you haven't already, and I'll make the changes on my bot before the next time I run it. Thanks!

Am I correct: vidyk = my doipk = develop didyk = developed disek = called nisk = language ?

Not quite. The first letter signifies whether the word is a verb, noun, adjective, or adverb. You'll notice that "vidyk" and "didyk" differ only by that prefix - they are the same word, in different parts of speech. "vidyk" is "develop", as a verb - "didyk" is "developed", as an adjective.

"doipk" is "me", but used as an adjective - i.e. "my".

You are correct that "disek" is "called" and "nisk" is "language", though "nisk" really means "communication".

However, all of this is outdated - I've made some quite major revamps, including making possessives things of their own (not adjectival pronouns), and also making each morpheme a consonant-vowel pair, instead of a consonant or a vowel like it is in the version you see.

About gender words in niselak

I thought that "im" and "if" isn't necessary; for example, the speaker can use "in", then they can specify with words if they want.

There isn't any vocabulary to describe gender - if you want to use "male" as an adjective you just use the root adjective word with the male suffix, "dakim".

Featuring?

The featured images are semi-infrequently decided by Community Portal nomination and informal voting, so no single person is responsible for featuring them. Bigpuppy seems to take charge of that process most of the time, but he isn't the one who actually does the featuring.

Featured articles are part of the larger Wiki Wednesday programme, and suggestions for WW articles are made on a forum topic in Show&Tell since it's the readers and not the writers who have the most say in what article was most helpful. I personally am responsible for going through those suggestions and choosing one to feature for the English wiki's contribution to Wiki Wednesday, which does include making it the featured article on this wiki as well.

Each user's page is meant to be unique - it represents them. Most of the templates you use on your userpage will (and should) most likely be subpages of your userpage. For example, I use a User:Kenny2scratch/Header transclusion on every one of my userpages. I don't have recommendations for "templates that might be useful on [your] user or talk page".

To provide a more authoritative answer, Wikians do not become admins directly. They can be elected to Experienced Wikian, and after a long time and a lot of trust an EW occasionally gets appointed admin by the rest of the staff.

Scratch Team members are promoted to bureaucrat as a matter of course.

Could you point out specifically where it is? We have an abuse filter to prevent anyone (including admins) from using words that are censored on the Scratch Forums. Make sure you haven't misread anything - "thorn", for example, is the name of a letter.

That word is exactly what someone could take the wrong way. As I said, it was a recommendation, you don’t have to remove it, but, even though it is the name of a letter (I already know this), someone could confuse it with another word.

Prevent uploads or file edits with no comment or category

Hi, I was trying to upload an image but forgot you need to enter a comment if it's a new one... how do I do that?

Add your file's name to "Destination filename" and write a comment/reason on "Summary" section of Special:Upload. If you don't know how to put categories, it's so simple: [[Category:(the category's name]]

Specifically, "File description" is where you enter the comment, which for a new upload must include a [[Category:(category name)]] where "(category name)" must be a subcategory of Category:Images.
