Raspberry Pi

I am gonna switch Tweaker from my Mac to my Raspberry Pi (because that's how you do it)

It will run properly on any Linux/Unix (Mac OS is Unix-based) system with PHP with CLI support properly installed. I believe it will also run on Windows with XAMPP or WAMP.

Archiving

I was just wondering how you archive your own talk page. I don't really want to but, how do you? Sorry, I am a curious person.

Just create a page at User talk:USERNAME/Archive X (X being the number you want), and cut-paste all the discussions you wish to archive onto that page. It is also recommended that you add the {{archive header}} template at the top. Then, you can ask an admin to protect it.

You can create a new page by searching the name of the page you want to create and clicking the link saying "Create the page ___".

WikiMonitor Problem

When I made Scratch Wiki:Tools WM told me on my talk page that I forgot to categorize it, but WM didn't categorize it either!

WM doesn't categorize pages for you. It just notifies you that you forgot. You need to put it on yourself. How would WM know what categories apply to a page? Using keyword matching would be way too problematic.

Once when I forgot to categorize a page, someone put the category: Article stubs there, and I looked through the history of the page, and It said nothing about someone adding a category.

There are a few categories WM does not find acceptable, such as stubs. The reason is that they don't relate to the content of the page.

Please categorize new pages

Hi there! I noticed when you created the page SomeTestPage, you did not place a category. Pages are categorized to group them with articles of similar content. To categorize an article, place:

[[Category:Name]]

At the bottom of the page. "name" represents the actual category's name. A list can be found here. It may also be helpful to read Help:Categories.

There is more of a specific procedure to requesting bots than requesting templates. There is also less harm to having a bad template than a bad bot. Finally, less discussion usually goes into templates than bots.

EWs/admins have a feature to revert all edits by the most recent editor to a page in one click. Regular users have to go through more steps. There isn't even a confirm button for us.

Odd. It worked when I tried setting it up on MediaWiki and when scmb1 set it up on the Scratch Wiki. Try using the code used on the Wiki instead. I now remember I had some issues with Github that might have messed up my code, but the code there is the exact same code used here.

Well, I can see the request page, but after clicking the request button, or going to "confirm accounts" it says that there is a database error.

Try going into the database and manually deleting the tables "account_requests" and "account_credentials" and then trying again.

Wiki Monitor

Earlier I received a report from Wiki Monitor about not signing my post. I had signed my post in the edit pointed towards, but I signed with three tildes, instead of the usual four. Maybe you could update Wiki Monitor to accept these situations as a signed post, or change the message?

Yeah, wouldn't that be nice? The reason I can't do that is that everybody is that custom signatures ruin everything. The only thing that's constant between signatures is the timestamp, so WM looks for that. Somebody suggested I make it look for the editing user, but there are plenty of cases where that may be included not as the signature. Also, I really don't appreciate people putting "support" on this I take every suggestion to WikiMonitor seriously. If I am unsure of the popularity, I will ask. However, for bugs and issues, saying you support fixing it doesn't do anything. I will either fix it or explain why it is unfixable. Putting "support" doesn't make it more likely that I will fix it, as the real limiting factor is my time availability.
EDIT: Ironically enough, I signed this with 5 tildes by accident.

Awww.... I think you're doing great jvvg! Without you, the Scrtch Wiki (and Scratch!) wouldn't be the same. (No, it wasn't harsh.)

As for the bug... I have an idea on how to fix it jvvg. Instead of just looking for the time stamp, look for the time stamp and <scratchsig> If both don't appear, then there's no signature. Would it work?

It is extremely difficult. It took me several weeks to get it working. You can't set it up on a standard web host the way you can set up MediaWiki. It requires very specialized software, which you have to host on your own server equipment.

It's subversion code. You need an svn client. Anyway, seriously, you don't know what you're getting yourself into if you seriously plan on setting this up. It's ridiculously complicated and you have to do everything perfectly (you have to import 20 or so database patches in order while looking at two different date schemes) and then wade your way through the database to change stuff as necessary.
