TurboWarp Template
I saw you made a dummy of the template, but we can't use that on mainspace. We need an official one.

- I know. I’m still working on it, but it’s just so that if it gets approved it could be moved to mainspace.

How can you prove that the ST gives out a warning for quoting the OP?

AYF Article up for deletion???
Hi, couldn't help but notice you added a delete request to my newest article for no reason due to a false redirect when everything was also deleted. I am confused as why you added this. I actually kind of worked hard on that first part as I was thinking of what to make into a page relates to Scratch.
GvYoutube (talk | contribs) 00:40, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
- @GvYoutube — Hello! It's great that you're jumping into editing the wiki - not every does that It may have been a little bit unclear what I did, but I'll explain. Basically, AYF is already documented on our wiki under Project Trends#Add Yourself, so I was going to make your page redirect there. Your page had that "(project)" at the end of it, which isn't very helpful for a redirect - redirects should be something simple that users type in a lot. So, I moved the page to "Add Yourself" - but instead of deleting the original page, I accidentally left it as an unhelpful redirect. Besides moving pages, I don't have the ability to delete pages, so I marked the left over redirect to delete. Overall, your content that you made is gone (you could still access it in the history). If you'd like to continue working on AYF content, you can go to Project Trends#Add Yourself and work on that article. Thanks!

Aknowledging how your protect page works
Hi, Han614698. I was wondering how does your protect page work, for example, I wanted to view the source of your signature, (viewing the source of others' pages is the way I learn, but I do NOT make any changes) And I've seen that whenever I press the show preview button, an alert pops up saying that someone edited the page.
Jmdzti_0-0 ( talk|Scratch profile|contribs (354) ) 10:32, 19 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Jmdzti_0-0 Hello! I have a couple things to mention to you. I know this is a lot, but please read it as it is very important:
- First off, when you made your signature, it is pasting the ALL of the code on every talk page you sign, instead of just
{{User:jmdzti_0-0/signature}}
. This is a lot of extra bytes and a couple more lines in the code. Here are the steps to fix this:- First, Create a page called "User:jmdzti_0-0/minisig", make the content of the page
{{User:jmdzti_0-0/signature}}
and NOTHING else. - Next, go to your preferences page and scroll down to where it says "Signature". In the text box that probably says
{{SUBST:User:jmdzti_0-0/signature}}
, replace it with{{SUBST:User:jmdzti_0-0/minisig}}
, then scroll all the way down and press "Save"
- First, Create a page called "User:jmdzti_0-0/minisig", make the content of the page
- Second, you asked about my protect page.
- Basically, what the protect page does, is checks if the last person to edit the page was me, and then displays a warning if it's not. The way this works is using the
{{REVISIONUSER}}
Magic Word. - There are two separate Protect Templates: The first is User:Han614698/Protect, which is the page that detects if the edit was made by me, which either puts blankspace in the page if it was me, or displays the protect template if it wasn't.
- The actual protect template is found at User:Han614698/Protect/Element, which has all of the code to display that red box.
- There is nothing wrong with previewing changes on my userpages. The reason that the protect element displays is because
{{REVISIONUSER}}
gets set to the previewing user - but only for you, meaning that I don't get any alerts or anything when the protect template is displayed.
- Basically, what the protect page does, is checks if the last person to edit the page was me, and then displays a warning if it's not. The way this works is using the

Your revert on the YAB article
(Regarding special:diff/341471) Hello! So you've reverted my edit on that the main topic isn't sufficent to say that "Fifty users were selected and notified on August 9th, 2024", but I don't think that it proves either of these statements. The main topic says "We will accept up to 50 applicants for this first cohort", but "up to" isn't "equal to", so it might be that they accepted 50 applicants, but they don't have to. Also, it doesn't say anything about when would they notify the accepted applicants, so the main topic ref doesn't really mean anything.
Purin2022 | 💬Talk | 📝Contribs | 🐱Scratch 11:23, 13 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Purin2022 — Hi! Good catch about the "up to" - I didn't see that. I'm okay changing the wording in the article to "up to" to circumvent that. For the "notified on August 9th, 2024" part, I'm not sure what to do. As a YAB member, I can confirm that we were all notified on August 9th, but I'm not sure how to cite myself. I don't think I left a comment anywhere saying when we were all notified. I think it's fairly important information to have on the wiki, especially if there are other cohorts, then people may want to read the wiki article and see about how long people have had to wait in the past. What do you think? Should I leave a comment somewhere?
han614698 talk • contribs (2,390) • profile 12:32, 13 August 2024 (UTC)- One more thing — by Thursday, we should be able to say how many people were selected (as that's our deadline to join), so this is really just a temporary problem.
han614698 talk • contribs (2,390) • profile 12:36, 13 August 2024 (UTC)- Do they have some internal list of members somewhere? Speaking of the forum note that Discussion Forums/List of all forums is actually of dupe of Forum ID, but that's off topic... If we ask a few of the members on the list through comment, then we should be able to get some refs for the "August 9" bit, but timezone exists, so we have to say "August 9 (ET)" or simliar.
Purin2022 | 💬Talk | 📝Contribs | 🐱Scratch 13:28, 13 August 2024 (UTC)- @Purin2022 — Those articles aren't dupes - Discussion Forums/List of all forums is just transcluded onto Forum ID. Second of all, yes, we do have a list of members but it's not publicly available so I guess you'll just have to take our word for it. The reason I keep adding more is because I missed some in my initial addition, and people have been letting me know they were missed. How about this, I'll just comment on your profile that I can confirm we were notified on August 9th ET.

Block Plugin 1.4 Category
I'm going to revert the changes you did to Category:Block Plugin 1.4 if that's okay with you. The images are supposed to be used in Block Plugin (1.4) to show off the quirky features of the old plugin, like the round booleans, white fill above C blocks, and other general weirdness.
Gdxfor (talk | contribs) 12:20, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Gdxfor of the 30 ish images in that category, all but one was unused. I don’t see the purpose of having a category with one image. Additionally I don’t see the point of keeping 25+ unused images (and they’re unused everywhere - not just main space)
han614698 talk • contribs (2,390) • profile 20:47, 17 September 2024 (UTC)- @han614698 As far as I know there were only 11 images in this category, and I was supposed to use them in the Block Plugin (1.4) article, though I never got around to actually replacing them. Gdxfor (talk | contribs) 01:21, 18 September 2024 (UTC)- @Gdxfor I wasn't aware you were planning on using them. In that case, I see no issue with reinstating them. However, I'm not sure it requires it's own category. Any other places you think it could go?

-unsigned comment by StarlightSparker (talk | contribs)
- @StarlightSparker—Your signatures aren't working right. Signatures need to have a minisig page, otherwise every time you post it, it puts your full signature code. You need to make another user subpage and call it "User:StarlightSparker/minisig" and make the content be "{{User:StarlightSparker/signature}}". Then adjust the settings to match in preferences.
