This template adds a reference in the correct format. For extra help, see help page info.

Parameters

  1. Username
  2. Date (dd/mm/yy)
  3. Quote text (add "[title]" to the end if it's a forum post title)
  4. Link to source, which can be
    • a comments link,
    • a "(ar-)topic:" link only to a (archived) forum topic,
    • or a "(ar-)post:" link only to a (archived) forum post.
  • name: Equivalent to the name="name" for real ref tags
  • group: Equivalent to the group="group" for real ref tags
  • archive: For pages like user profiles, which may change completely at any time, please capture and link to a snapshot on the Internet Archive in this parameter.
  • ref: If no, generate just the text of the reference without the surrounding <ref> tags. The name and group parameters are ignored.
