Controversy about names

Should someone blur Adriangl's name out, or leave it like that? Vista4563 05:44, 9 June 2010 (UTC)

I don't see a problem with it... it's not like it's extremely visible, and it's not like any personal information or anything like that.

Your name isn't on the picture.
Check out the help for getting started to the wiki. :) Or maybe you want to read the new-users stuff: Scratch Wiki: FAQ, Scratch Wiki: Welcome, and Scratch Wiki: Guidelines. :)

"Bad request. The link you followed is incorrect or outdated"

The link that says "Accomplishments" comes up with this. What should we do?
Aidan (talk | contribs) 17:44, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

I removed it since it is technically not in the actual thread anymore. And make sure you sign everything you say with four tildes so people know who you are.
WeirdF (talk | contribs) 17:31, 2 July 2010 (UTC)
Oops! Sorry! I forgot!
Aidan (talk | contribs) 17:44, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

Should the "Credits" section be taken out?

It's not even an official currency there anyway...
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 00:59, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

Yeah. Maybe you could put it in the history though, as a "popular trend among users" to use the credits :).
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 01:02, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
Do not remove it. Just state the period of time when such currency was used. I think this is important to understand what has happened in the TBG.--
andresmh (talk | contribs) 05:17, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
I added a sentence. :) Is it okay? I feel like it fails... :P
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 05:25, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

Making the article name plural

I think the article name should be "Text-based Games Forums"; yes, the TBG used to be a single forum, but it also has the RPG forum now. :/

What do you think?
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 11:00, 11 March 2011 (UTC)

Keep the name. Text based Game Forum doesn't sound right.
Dazman (talk | contribs) 14:47, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
Uh... everyone, give an opinion here please :3
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 07:24, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
I think it definitely should be changed. I mean if it stays singular, surely it's incorrect?
WeirdF (talk | contribs) 07:36, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, plural is good, but are you sure we should call it "Text-based Games Forum"? It's not true; the RPG forum isn't a "text-based game".
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 09:47, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
Uh, "Text-based Games Forum" is what it's currently called...
Well, the RPGs there are "text-based role-playing games" :P
Just a thought - it is called the "TBG forums" by a lot of people, right? So naming the article "Text-based Games Forums" would be fitting...
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 10:54, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
Sorry, missed the S xD
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 10:55, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
IDK. I was surprised there wasn't a redirect from there though.
Scimonster (talk | contribs) 11:55, 6 April 2011 (UTC)

Title

I'm not sure if the current name is necessarily the most accurate. Some suggestions are:

  • Text-Based Games Forum
  • Text Based Games Forum
  • Text-Based Games Forums
  • Text Based Games Forums

I'm leaning towards the last, since that is the name that directly appears on the page.
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 00:26, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

Hm, I personally like it with the hyphen, but we should probably do it the "official" way. :P
Scimonster (talk | contribs) 05:46, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
There are multiple forums in there, so... plural then?
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 21:30, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
"Bump"
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 00:52, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
The hyphen is 'necessary' and there are multiple forums so it should be "Text-Based Games Forums" :S
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 04:15, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
I've been re-thinking the title of this article. The forum itself doesn't have a hyphen in its title, so why should we add a hyphen for this article? If the title of the forum changes to Text-Based Games Forum, then we can certainly change the title back. But until then, I think "Text Based Games Forum" is the best title. Thoughts?
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 22:31, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
I concur, we should go off the official source.
Veggieman001 (talk | contribs) 22:33, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
Yeah agreed, but just in case it ever does get changed if it had a hyphen it would be Text-based 'cause words after hyphens aren't capitalized in titles.
WeirdF (talk | contribs) 23:24, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
OK, Text Based Games Forums it will be. :)

About somelia

Okay, so I was just wondering, did you have to tell somelia to not tell anyone about the moderator forum and what is in it. (Wan't reply by moderator of tbg's.)
Joletole (talk | contribs) 16:53, 19 July 2012 (UTC)

This isn't really a question that belongs here. You should probably ask somelia on one of her projects or send an email to the TBG moderator email (I believe there's one...?) if you have any questions. This discussion page is for discussing the article, not about its content.
Veggieman001 (talk | contribs) 21:20, 19 July 2012 (UTC)

who likes TBG

Just wondering. I think it's a waste of power for the ST to power, but others may think otherwise.
Curiouscrab (talk | contribs) 22:24, 5 December 2012 (UTC)

tbgs.tk

I've edited the last sentence in the first paragraph to mention it, rather than making it seem like the website is yet to be made.

Should I add a new topic about it, with information, screenshots, etc?

Jji7skyline (talk | contribs) 08:36, 16 February 2013 (UTC)

Is tbgs.tk really the official replacement?
Scimonster (talk | contribs) 08:49, 17 February 2013 (UTC)
I think so, yes. At least, there's no other serious replacement.
Hardmath123 (talk | contribs) 01:28, 18 February 2013 (UTC)
It's widely accepted as the official unofficial replacement, and Lightnin seems quite happy with it.
Jji7skyline (talk | contribs)
Honestly, I don't consider it notable enough to merit its own page with information, etc. as it is purely an unofficial replacement, no matter how official-ish it is. I would not mind a section on this page, however, as it does happen to be the most popular replacement. This article kind of has formatting issues as it is (such as what should be its own section, etc.) but that's another issue for another time.
