Expansion
We need to expand this article with more info on the Scratch YouTube Video Player. I know this is a little bit tricky to edit this article.
I think this will be amazing if this wiki article is expanded.

- In my honest opinion, I don't think there's much more information that we can add. It's a fairly simple part of the Scratch Website that doesn't have many special bugs or features.

Example Video we can use
The Example video used in the new screenshot is the Film Countdown II YouTube Video that I found on Google the other day. We should use that in deed. But you can change it if you wish. Link to the example video: [1]

- I think this video would make a better example since it's Scratch related. :) But your video is also very good.

2.0 Version Screenshot Updating!
Well, The screenshot is not yet perfect! We need to see both the whole Scratch website and the Youtube Player and not the cropped version. Also, the description is outdated! Another thing is that the video needs to be changed to a public domain video to avoid copyright of other material! e.g. [2] Also, Try to use it in the new Scratch Youtube Player and not the Youtube itself with all those weird comments and everything! OK? Thanks!

- 1. Only the YouTube Player needs to be shown, as that's the subject of the article.
- 2. We don't usually update/regulate file descriptions here.
- 3. I believe that as a part of the Scratch Website, we operate under the same DMCA policy. This constitutes Fair Use, I believe, because it illustrates a plausible video that would be played on the player. Plus we're a non-commercial website and it says what it's from on the top, so I don't think having the image like this is a big deal.
veggieman001 (talk | contribs) 06:58, 21 October 2013 (UTC)- Why don't we use a video made by the Scratch Team? That way we don't have it black yet it's completely fine.
Turkey3 (talk | contribs) 21:23, 21 October 2013 (UTC)- I don't see any reason why we need to change it, though; if it's not broke, don't fix it?

Merge
We should merge this page with the part about the YouTube Video Player on the Scratch Discussion Forums page because the YouTube Video Player isn't important enough to have its own article.

- I disagree

- It isn’t just used on the forums. It is also used when a project’s instructions or notes/credits links to a video.
- Remember discussion comment formatting with indenting. :) I would disagree with the idea that this page should be merged into the discussion forums article because it is something which (as mentioned in the article) applies to all of scratch. I would recommend that the article be expanded though.

Move Request
I think the title YouTube Video Player is enough, without Scratch. Why don't we move this article?

- I think both names can suffice, maybe a redirect?
Jakel181 (talk | contribs) 11:47, 20 September 2018 (UTC)- I've created a redirect under the names: YouTube Video Player, and YouTube Player
