Front page image
I'm not sure if the picture of the front page fits in completely with the article. It is very large and takes up a lot of space on the page. The "Scratch Website" describes much more than just the hub area that returns when you type in scratch.mit.edu in your browser. For the Front Page article, this might be okay, but I don't think it is necessary for this article. A smaller image like File:Front Page Logged out.PNG would work better in my opinion. Thoughts? Perhaps even a different picture altogether, like a photograph of a person using a computer with the Scratch Website on it? Just a few ideas.

- Personally I don't find the image very bothersome :s
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 05:45, 28 June 2012 (UTC) - I agree with Jonathanpb. Think we should leave it the way it is.
Bsteward (talk | contribs)13:21, 28 June 2012 (UTC) - Can you guys elaborate a bit? The dimensions of the images are quite obscure, considering it even takes up room in the first section of the article (yet its only a thumbnail). I think a cropped version of the image, or even using another similar image like File:Front Page Logged out.PNG (as I suggested before) might work better. This would give room for other images in the article, like the QR Code and the beta website image.
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 22:41, 28 June 2012 (UTC) - Any other thoughts?
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 18:16, 30 June 2012 (UTC)- I'm with Lucario621. The Scratch Website also includes forums, but we really have no idea about that when you view the picture. Perhaps explaining it out is another option.

Join With Front Page
This page is about the Scratch front page, which is the same thing as the page Front Page is about. This page is longer and has a Scratch Website (1.4). I recommend merging the two pages together.
CrazyBoy826 (talk | contribs) 16:35, 8 June 2018 (UTC)
- I strongly disagree. This page is different to Front Page. The front page article also has a Front Page (1.4) as well, and that page also gives detail about the rows.

Add Subpages
Because of the opposition gained against the join with Front Page, I decided no to do it and removed the merge template from both articles. But after that, I had an idea. Because this is supposed to be about the entire Scratch Website and not just the front page, we could add subpages like Scratch Website/My Stuff and Scratch Website/Profile Page. Remember that these articles are about the websites, not the community features. We should add a template about that. You can view the draft pages here.

- No support, duplicate. You do not have to make two articles!
Apple502j Talk/Activities 2,243edit 22:37, 9 June 2018 (UTC)- -1 no support. We want to break the Wiki up into simple parts, not bind them together. Having all separate articles makes it easier to find and navigate, and also makes the title a lot neater. For example, if you went to Wikipedia, say, there would not be an article titled Presidents of the US/Bill Clinton, would there? It would have a page titled Bill Clinton, because it's neater.
Daring Sailor [ Talk | Contribs | More... ] 16:41, 10 June 2018 (UTC)- How about pages titled like
Messages Website
orProject Websites?
CrazyBoy826 (talk | contribs) 15:54, 16 June 2018 (UTC)- Messages and Notifications and Project cover both of those pages. And don't go redirecting "Messages Website" to "Messages and Notifications" either! Those titles are likely never going to be searched for.

Should the reference to Quantcast be marked as a dead link?
Attempting to view the reference to Quantcast takes me to a login screen. Should the reference to it be marked as a dead link?

Is this page really needed?

The content of this page is the exact same as Scratch Website minus the picture and the website barely changed between 2.0 and 3.0 (the transition from scratchr2 to scratch-www is something completely separate). This page should be deleted in my opinion. I'm only talking about the 2.0 version
Dhuls (talk | contribs) 00:54, 8 June 2021 (UTC)
- I don't really know what you mean... this is the talk page for Scratch Website, so your comment as I see it says the contents of Scratch Website is the exact same as the contents of Scratch Website.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 02:47, 8 June 2021 (UTC)- I believe Dhuls is talking about the content between this page and the 2.0 version of it.
TenType (talk | contribs) 02:53, 8 June 2021 (UTC)- I actually do agree with you. About 90% of the Scratch Website (2.0) page is taken from the Scratch Website page, which is completely unnecessary in my opinion as well. If they're gonna keep the page, can they at least change it to be actually on-topic with the 2.0 site?
Mrcreatorluigi (talk | contribs) 04:29, 29 November 2021 (UTC)- I also agree. The website is not clearly split into different versions like the Scratch editor and has no unique information related to the old website, so this page can be deleted.
CrazyBoy826 | Talk | 8,242 edits | Scratch 01:52, 29 December 2021 (UTC)- Merged.
