What is a "step"?

Shouldn't the article specify what it means to take a "step"?

I guess so. It could be something like "1 pixel in the current direction".

I would add it, but I don't know how to put it in a clear way...

I did it kinda good. I think that's good.. I hope that's good... COME ON EXAMPLE BE GOOD! :P

I think it's good, put the picture seems unrealistic...you can't really fit more than one pixel inside a pixel, can you?

"Step" definition not clear

This article says:

A step is equal to a one-pixel length.

I don't think this is technically true though. In some cases it may be, but what happens when you fullscreen? Then a step becomes a different amount of pixels. And what about different resolution screens? I can't think of how to phrase it so that it's not too technical.

@50_scratch_tabs In this context, a "pixel" is referring to the smallest distinguishable unit of rendering on the stage. By this definition, the stage is always 480x360 pixels, and the change x by (1) always moves a sprite one "pixel" to the right. I do agree that mixing graphical and programming terms like this can be kind of confusing, but the only other word I can think of using is a positional unit, which is probably even more confusing for young Scratchers reading the article.
