- This article or section documents an outdated version of Scratch (version 2.0). For this article in the current version (version 3.0), see LEGO Education WeDo 2.0 Extension. For this article in Scratch 1.4, see Motor Blocks.
The LEGO WeDo 1.0 extension was an extension for Scratch 2.0 which allowed interacting with a LEGO WeDo 1.0 kit. They replaced the motor blocks in Scratch 1.4 and were replaced by the LEGO Education WeDo 2.0 extension in Scratch 3.0.
There were 9 LEGO WeDo 1.0 blocks: 2 hat blocks, 5 stack blocks, and 2 reporter blocks.
Showing the LEGO WeDo Blocks
The LEGO WeDo 1.0 blocks could not be used until the extension had been added. To do this, click the Add an Extension button in the More Blocks palette and select "LEGO WeDo 1.0". They could be removed by clicking on the heading which appears above them and selecting "Remove extension blocks".
These blocks could only be used with a LEGO WeDo 1.0 kit, but could still be viewed without one.
