The Scratch Team (often abbreviated as ST) is the group of people who work on Scratch that develop the Scratch program and moderate the Scratch website.[1]

There are many members of the Scratch Team. Those who have accounts on Scratch[2] appear on the 'Our Team' page on Scratch.[3] There are many Scratch Team members who do not have Scratch accounts, and this list only contains members who have an account:

Identifying Members

An asterisk next to a Scratch Team Member's name.
A Scratch Team Member on the forums.

Members of the Scratch Team on the Scratch Website can be identified by the asterisk (*) next to their username.[11] The words "Scratch Team" additionally appear below their username on their profile instead of 'New Scratcher' or 'Scratcher', as well as underneath the profile picture of the post in the Scratch Forums. Retired Scratch Team members do not have an asterisk next to their username.[12] Some Scratch Team members also do not need administrator permissions for their job, so they also do not have an asterisk.[13]

Contacting the Scratch Team

One can contact the Scratch Team through the Contact Us form found at the bottom of every page. The Contact Us link is for more private or serious concerns, which should not be posted publicly. For less serious concerns, or for other reasons of contacting them, one can use a Scratch Team member's profile page. However, for cases of users misbehaving or a contact between users, Contact Us should be used or the relevant items should be reported to avoid publicizing the issue.

Joining the Scratch Team

Main article: How can I be a Scratch Team member?

The jobs page[14] in the footer lists jobs currently available for those wanting to work on the Scratch Team. Being a member of the Scratch Team is a paying job. Applicants must be at least 18 and have the authorization to work in the US. Applicants must be skilled in the role they want to work at (programming, moderating, etc.), and in some cases may have to commute to the MIT Media Lab located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.
